1. Overview
papergarden helps you create AI-illustrated books. This policy explains what we collect, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service.
2. What we collect
We collect the email address you sign in with, the reference photos you upload, the images and books you generate, and a record of your payments and credit balance. Card payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
3. Service providers
We rely on a small set of subprocessors to operate papergarden:
- Cloudflare — application hosting and file storage
- Turso — database for your account and book data
- fal.ai — AI image generation
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google — optional sign-in
Your content is shared with these providers only as needed to generate, store, and deliver your books.
4. What we don’t do
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use your uploaded photos or generated books to train AI models.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your content for as long as your account is active. Deleting a book removes its pages, uploaded references, and generated images. Deleting your account removes your account data and the books associated with it. Some payment records may be retained by Stripe or us where required for accounting and legal compliance.
6. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, a copy of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the email below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. International processing
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. We choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards for that processing.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above.
