How to make a children's book with Claude and print it

1. Connect papergarden to Claude

Connect papergarden once, on claude.ai in a browser:

1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector.
2. Name it papergarden and set the URL to https://papergarden.ai/mcp.
3. Click Connect and sign in with your email or Google, so your books and credits are saved to your papergarden account.

2. Buy picture credits

Claude can't paint pictures, so papergarden paints them. Each picture costs 1 credit, the cover too, and a failed picture costs nothing. A book uses about 20 to 30. Buy a pack on the credits page: 40 for €6 or 150 for €22.

3. Tell Claude about the book

Start a new chat and say who the book is for: your child's name and age, the language, who else is in the story, and one thing only your child does. Add a photo if the characters should look like real people.

4. Claude writes, papergarden paints

Claude shows the text first. Once you like the story, Claude shows a style sample and a character sheet, then makes the whole book. Open the book's link to flip through the pages as the pictures arrive.

5. Change anything, then order

Ask for changes in the chat, like “make the dog brown on page 6”. Every version is saved, so you can go back. To order, ask Claude or open the book on papergarden.ai, then pick the copies and the address and see the shipping options before you pay.
